Rome bridal week 2025

the return of vintage bridal design

Rome Bridal Week 2025, held from March 16th to 18th at Fiera di Roma, has once again established itself as a beacon of bridal elegance, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity. This year's event not only showcased the latest trends in bridal fashion but also emphasised the importance of quality and innovation in the industry.

Building upon the success of previous editions, the 2025 event saw a significant increase in participation. The fourth edition in 2023 had already set records, with over 2,000 visitors from 20 countries and a 30% growth in attendance compared to prior years. This upward trend continued in 2025, with the event attracting approximately 5,000 attendees and featuring around 200 exhibitors, covering an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters

The event celebrated Italy's rich bridal heritage, with the 'Made in Italy' message carrying significant weight, acknowledging the artistry and attention to detail that Italian designers are renowned for. This year's exhibition moved to a new level where glamour, quality, design ingenuity, and innovation were the key focuses.

We can’t help but love to lean into classic Italian style at Madeleine Daisy – nothing quite encapsulates class like Italian fashion. Our Emma Lace Edge Veil in single-tier mantilla style is a modern classic, intertwining beautiful pearls into the veil. An homage to the regal Italian bride. Take a look at it out at our shop.

One of the standout trends at the event was the prominence of feminine details such as bows and corsetry. Bows, versatile and elegant, adorned various parts of wedding gowns, from delicate additions on straps to dramatic features extending into trains. Corsetry made a significant comeback, enhancing natural curves with exposed boning or adjustable tie backs, offering brides a blend of classic elegance and contemporary style.

Another notable trend was the incorporation of the colour "Mocha Mousse," a muted brown-grey hue named Pantone's Colour of the Year for 2025. This elegant and timeless shade was featured in various wedding elements, from guest attire to accessories and makeup, reflecting the minimalist trends gaining momentum in the bridal scene.

As a designer committed to bespoke handmade wedding veils and accessories, the trends showcased at Rome Bridal Week resonate deeply with our philosophy at Madeleine Daisy. Our dedication to slow fashion ensures that each piece is crafted by hand from start to finish, reflecting exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. The resurgence of feminine details such as bows aligns seamlessly with our design ethos. We have long embraced the elegance of bows in our veils and accessories, recognising their versatility and timeless appeal. Whether it's a subtle bow accent or a more pronounced feature, this detail adds a touch of grace and individuality to a bride's ensemble.

Veil Preferences Among Modern Brides

Veil choices have continued to evolve, reflecting diverse personal styles and cultural influences. A UK survey revealed generational differences in headpiece preferences: Over half of millennial and Gen Z brides-to-be planned to wear a long veil on their wedding day.

Younger brides are reverting back to classic style which we absolutely love here at Madeleine Daisy.

The emphasis on corsetry at the event also mirrors our commitment to enhancing the natural beauty of brides. Our designs often incorporate elements that provide structure and support, ensuring that brides not only look stunning but also feel confident and comfortable on their special day. The renewed interest in corsetry inspires us to continue exploring innovative ways to blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics.

Corsetry in Bridal Fashion

The corset, once a foundational garment in women's fashion, has made a significant comeback in bridal design. Designers are reimagining this classic silhouette, blending traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics to cater to modern brides seeking both structure and style. This revival is part of a broader trend embracing vintage-inspired looks, offering brides the opportunity to incorporate timeless elegance into their wedding attire.

We love the new vintage-inspired style of modern brides. At Madeleine Daisy we specialise in bringing old wedding attire back to life. Check out our Heirloom Veil service here.

The introduction of "Mocha Mousse" as a trending colour opens new avenues for creativity in our designs. This muted brown-grey hue offers a sophisticated alternative to traditional bridal colours, allowing us to experiment with subtle yet impactful accents in our veils and accessories. Incorporating this shade can add depth and warmth to a bride's look, aligning with contemporary trends while maintaining a timeless elegance.

The trends highlighted at Rome Bridal Week reaffirm our commitment to providing brides with personalised, handcrafted pieces that reflect both current trends and timeless elegance. We are excited to continue drawing inspiration from such events to offer our clients designs that are both contemporary and enduring.

Rome Bridal Week 2025 has once again set the stage for the upcoming trends in bridal fashion. The emphasis on quality, innovation, and the seamless blend of tradition with modernity resonates with our mission at Madeleine Daisy. We look forward to incorporating these insights into our designs, ensuring that each bride feels uniquely beautiful on her special day.
